1. Objective of the Event
The primary objective of Raas Garba – Garba Jalsa was to celebrate cultural diversity and promote student bonding through traditional dance, music, and festive activities. The event aimed to provide a platform for self-expression, cultural appreciation, and social engagement outside the academic environment.
2. Event Flow & Highlights
Opening Ceremony
● The event commenced with a traditional Aarti, setting a spiritual and positive tone.
● The session began with an auspicious Shloka, followed by enthusiastic and energetic hosting by students and faculty in-charges.
Hosting Team
● First-Year Segment (12:30 – 2:30 PM):
○ Hosted by: Maheen and Aditi
● Second-Year Segment (2:30 – 4:00 PM):
○ Hosted by: Pavneet Kaur, Shubham Salunkhe, and Sahil Bhat
Their vibrant and engaging hosting style kept the energy high throughout the event.
Cultural Activities
● A large Garba circle was formed as all students joined in to break the ice and dance together to energetic Gujarati beats and tunes.
● Traditional and Bollywood Garba music created a lively ambiance that encouraged full participation.
3. Student Participation
● Over 60+ students participated actively across both time slots.
● Students from MMS, PGDM General, and PGDM Internship (both First and Second Year) showed remarkable enthusiasm and cultural spirit.
4. Competitions & Awards
Awards were distributed across each course in two categories:
● Best Dressed (Male & Female)
● Best Dancer (Male & Female)
These recognitions encouraged student participation and added a fun, competitive element to the celebration.
5. Hospitality and Support
● Snacks and refreshments were arranged for all attendees, ensuring comfort and hospitality.
● The event managing committee and student volunteers were appreciated for their smooth coordination and behind-the-scenes effort in executing the event successfully.
6. Outcome and Feedback
● The event was a resounding success in terms of cultural engagement, student interaction, and joyful celebration.
● Students appreciated the opportunity to unwind, connect, and celebrate traditional Indian culture through dance and music.
● The event added value to the holistic development of students, contributing positively to campus life and emotional well-being.
