Title of the Activity

Tree Plantation Drive and Poster Making Competition on the occasion of World Environment Day

Venue: SVIMS College Garden, Wadala
Objective of the Activity: The activity was organized to Create awareness about environmental conservation, promote sustainable practices among students Encourage creativity through poster making, Highlight the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change
About the Event: On the occasion of World Environment Day, SVIMS College, Wadala organized a Tree Plantation Drive along with a Poster Making Competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.

The program began with the active participation of around 30 students, along with all faculty members, staff, and the respected Director Sir. The tree plantation activity was conducted in the college garden at 11:00 AM., where saplings were planted to promote a greener environment.

Our respected Director Sir addressed the gathering and delivered an insightful speech highlighting the significance of World Environment Day, its global relevance, and the need for collective responsibility towards environmental protection.

Poster Making Competition:A Poster Making Competition was conducted to encourage students to express their ideas on environmental awareness creatively.

Winners:

1st Prize: Sukanya and Omkar (PGDM Batch 2025–2027)
2nd Prize: Kanchan Sonar and Dhananjay
The posters reflected innovative ideas and strong messages about environmental sustainability.

Participation Details:

Total Students: 30
Faculty Members: All faculties participated
Presence of Director and Staff

Conclusion:The event was successfully conducted and served its purpose of spreading awareness about environmental conservation. The active involvement of students and faculty made the program impactful and meaningful.

Vote of Thanks:The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by students Raksha and Labh, expressing gratitude to the Director Sir, faculty members, staff, and students for their valuable participation and support.

Objective:
The objective of the event was to raise awareness among students about environmental conservation and to instill a sense of responsibility towards protecting and nurturing the environment. By engaging in tree plantation, the event aimed to encourage students to take practical steps in contributing to a greener and healthier planet.
Event Summary:
SVIMS College celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty, and staff. The event commenced at 10:30 AM in the college campus. A total of 15 MMS and PGDM students, along with faculty members, took part in a tree plantation drive organized on the college ground. The event was graced by our esteemed Director, Dr. Purshottam Patil, and Program Head Prof. Ganapati K, who shared a few inspiring words about the importance of preserving the environment and the role students play in building a sustainable future. Dr. Vaishali Singh and Dr. V.B. Malji, as part of the organizing committee, coordinated the event efficiently. Student leaders Steve Anthony and Sakshi Chavan contributed significantly to the event & planning and execution. Various saplings were planted around the campus, marking a symbolic commitment to environmental sustainability.
All faculty members and non-teaching staff joined hands in this green initiative, making it a memorable and impactful event. The activity not only beautified the campus but also reinforced the values of ecological responsibility and environmental stewardship among the student community.
