Alumni Meets (SVIMSpire)
SVIMSpire 2026
SVIMS and SVIMS Business School proudly hosted alumni from the 2010 batch onwards for SVIMSPIRE 2026 on Friday, 24th April 2026, at Suryavanshi Kshatriya Sabhagruha, Dadar, Mumbai.
With an enthusiastic gathering of 160 alumni across batches, the evening was filled with meaningful connections. shared memories, and renewed collaboration. A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of a dedicated internal networking email platform—designed to help alumni connect, collaborate, and explore opportunities aligned with their skillsets. SVIMSPIRE 2026 truly reflected the strength of our alumni network and the spirit of staying connected beyond classrooms.
SVIMSpire 2025
Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies & Research (SVIMS) welcomed their Alumni on Saturday 12th April’25 at The Suryavanshi Banquet Hall, Dadar, Mumbai. The Alumni Association of SVIMS organised “SVIMSpire ’25 a programme to connect and bring together its prestigious Alumni. The alumni meet reconnected from batches 2010 to 2024 and each one celebrated the success of the Institute and shared their professional success. The Alumni were received by the registration team and thereafter proceeded with the registration formalities. Each Alumni was presented with a momento as a token of appreciation from the Institute. The Alumni Meet started with games to interconnect the batches. The winners of the various games were presented with chocolates. Further, SVIMS Director Dr. Purshottam Patil then welcomed the Alumni. He presented the Institute report on the academic and non-academic activities undertaken.
Some “Distinguished Alumni” were felicitated by the director and Faculty members. Alumni also interacted with the students and gave motivational talk regarding preparing for studies and placements. Students asked many questions regarding placements and the alumni shared their views. Post this there was a DJ session and selfies at the selfie booth. A photo session was taken with all the Alumni present at the occasion. The Alumni, faculty members, staff and students enjoyed a scrumptious dinner and parted with happy memories. The event was equally appreciated by one and all present on the occasion.

SVIMSpire 2023
The Alumni Association of Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies & Research had organised “SVIMSPIRE 2023” a programme to facilitate, consolidate and coordinate Alumni Activities at Kohinoor Banquet Hall on 25th March 2023. The alumni meet is to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements. The Alumni started arriving at the venue by 7.30 pm and they were received by the registration team and they have been asked to fill the registration form. The Alumni Meet started with a welcome address by our Director Dr. Purshottam Patil following this Mr. Parthasarathi Naik, President of NKES society addressed the crowd. Our esteemed trustee Mr. Anant Banwasi felicitated the guest of honour with a Tulsi Sapling.
We then proceeded with presenting the college report highlighting the various milestones reached in the past year. College report was followed by felicitation of our “Distinguished Alumni”. Alumni also interacted with the students and gave motivational talk regarding preparing for studies and placements. Students asked many questions regarding placements and the alumni shared their views. Post this we had a Vote of thanks was given by Dr.Awasthi. The students enjoyed Management Games and DJ session along with lots of selfies at the selfie booth, had their dinner and parted with happy memories. The event was equally liked by one and all present on the occasion.
SVIMSpire 2020
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies & Research’s annual convocation was held on Saturday 08th February 2020.The venue was its very own NKES Auditorium Hall. The Chief Guest for the convocation was the Hon’ble Dr. Y.D. Venkatesh, Principal- St. Xavier’s College of Engineering. Also in the attendance were other dignitaries Dr. Purshottam Patil, Director- SVIMS, Dr. Vasumathy Hariharan, Dean Academics, SVIMS and NKES Trustees Mr. Parthasarthi Naik & Mr. Anant Banwasi.
This year a total of 48 students graduated. The convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession followed by Saraswati Vandana. The Director in his report touched upon the infrastructure developments and highlighted the new developments taking place in the institute. He also emphasized on the institute completing a decade this year. The graduates were awarded with the certificates. The students and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest, Dr. Y.D. Venkatesh. He emphasized contributing back to the community being essential. In his brief and captivating address he inspired the graduates, students and faculty of the Institute.
After the Convocation Ceremony, SVIMSpire Alumni meet started with a bang. The alumni meet is conducted every year in order to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements. The Alumni started arriving in college by 05:00 pm and they were received by the registration team and were taken on the campus tour where they revisited the familiar place where they had studied and were shown the various developments that had taken place since then. A multimedia presentation, “Trip down memory lane….” followed which chronicled the journey of the alumni of SVIMS from 2010 to the present. Games were played with the Alumni and they shared their experience with the present batch of students. The event ended with the Vote of Thanks to all the dignitaries followed by the National Anthem.
SVIMSpire 2018
Alumni were welcomed back to Sir M Visvesvaraya of Management Studies & Research for the 2nd Annual Alumni Reunion on Sunday 16th December.
SVIMSpire2018 was another event that was successfully struck off from this year’s calendar. It is an initiative taken by us to stay in touch with our alumni and to ensure that our alumni feels connected irrespective of the physical boundaries. These meets have been providing a platform for all alumni to know the progress SVIMS has made in the years from when they left the college. The meets are not only an occasion for the alumni to get nostalgic and relive their college memories but also they help us to maintain the strong connect with our alumni and gain from their knowledge and expertise of the industry.
The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia, as our Alumni entered their Alma Mater with feelings of joy and happiness. The Auditorium was beautifully decorated as ever by our dedicated Decoration Committee. The event was commenced by invoking blessings of almighty as we played Saraswati Vandana. The students were pumped to put up a great show for their seniors. The occasion was graced with the presence of our beloved trustees and our dearest Director.
It started off with our HOA making presentation and recalling the SVIMS journey, good old days of our alumni. The Alumni Cell had decided to organise panel discussion programme in College Auditorium by inviting alumni with the intension of providing mentorship to our students.
We had also arranged for a few games where we had our alumni participation. Alumni took interest in games and they enjoyed the games throughout the event.
Further ahead were ravishing dance performances, transporting us all back in time.
We had launched SVIMS distinguished alumni awards for SVIMSpire 2018. We gave certificates to the nominees and trophy to the winners of SVIMS distinguished alumni awards as a token of love and appreciation.
As the evening came to an end, we were all served with delicious dinner.
All in all, the evening came to a wonderful and successful end as the loving seniors were bid adieu
