REPORT ON UTHAAN 2026
Introduction
Uthaan 2026, an intercollegiate cultural and sports festival, was successfully organized in our college on 3rd and 4th February 2026. The event aimed to provide a platform for students from various colleges to showcase their talents in sports, cultural, and creative activities. The two-day festival was filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and healthy competition.
Venue and Time
The event was conducted at the college campus, utilizing the college playground, auditorium, and other designated areas for different activities. The program was held over two days and began in the morning hours, continuing throughout the day with multiple competitions and performances.
Participation
Uthaan 2026 received an overwhelming response, with around many students participating from different institutions. The participation of students from various colleges created a vibrant atmosphere and encouraged interaction, teamwork, and competitive spirit among the participants.

Highlights of the Event
One of the major highlights of Uthaan 2026 was the fashion show and dance performances, which attracted great enthusiasm from the audience. The cricket and football matches also generated excitement among participants and spectators. The rangoli and mehendi competitions showcased the artistic creativity of the students.
Organization and Coordination
The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of student coordinators and faculty members. The organizing team managed registrations, scheduling, and coordination of events efficiently, ensuring that all activities were conducted smoothly.
Prize Distribution Ceremony
At the conclusion of the festival, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the winners of the various competitions. Many students secured top positions and were awarded prizes and certificates for their outstanding performances. The awards were presented by our respected
Director, Dr. Purshottom Patil, along with the honourable trustees of the institution. Their presence encouraged and motivated the participants.
Student Feedback
The participants expressed great excitement and appreciation for the event. Many students shared that Uthaan 2026 provided them with a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents, interact with students from other colleges, and gain memorable experiences.
Conclusion

The SVIMS Annual Inter-Collegiate Fest.
UTHAAN 2K25 ignited with the fiery theme of “Fire” and the powerful slogan “Arise, Awake Achieve.” Held on February 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2025, the festival radiated its signature energy, enthusiasm, and vibrancy.
The grand celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Trustees followed by a warm welcome address from Dr. Purshottam Patil, Director of SVIMS. Mrs Padmaja Banwasi, Hon. Secretary of NKES, officially declared the festival open, setting the stage for an exhilarating experience. A flash mob performance, orchestrated by students added an electrifying start to the festivities.
Both outdoor and indoor events received an overwhelming response. High-energy outdoor sports like Box Cricket, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Volleyball, and Rink Football attracted teams from various colleges across Mumbai. The intense competition was matched by a remarkable display of sportsmanship and teamwork.
Meanwhile, indoor events such as Chess, Carrom, and BGMI saw enthusiastic participation. For those with a sharp mind and business acumen, the CET Challenge and Shark Tank Competition provided a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit.
Music lovers were treated to a singing competition, while rappers impressed the audience with their dynamic performances. The dance competition was a high-energy spectacle leaving the audience cheering on their feet. Adding to the excitement, the fashion show delivered powerful social messages, addressing contemporary issues with creativity and flair.
Overall, UTHAAN 2K25 was a resounding success, bringing together talent passion and camaraderie in a celebration that will be remembered for years to come.




























The theme for this year’s UTHAAN was “SKY IS THE LIMIT” with the catchy slogan Arise, Awake, Achieve. UTHAAN 2K24 was held on 16th and 17th February 2K24 with the usual exuberance, fanfare and gaiety.
The festival began with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony by the Trustees, followed by the welcome address by the Director of SVIMS, Dr Purshottam Patil. A cluster of balloons were released to metaphorically indicate that SKY IS THE LIMIT for those who are industrious and sincere in their efforts. Mrs. Padmaja Banwasi, Hon. Secretary of NKES declared the festival open.
There was overwhelming response for all the outdoor and indoor events. Outdoor events like Box cricket, Kabaddi, Tug of war, volleyball, and rink football attracted many teams from different colleges across Mumbai. We could see the keen competition among different teams and there was more than enough evidence of sportsman-spirit among the teams. As regards the indoor events, games like chess, carom, BGMI attracted good deal of participation. For the more intellectually inclined there was CET Challenge and a debate competition and here we could witness the debating prowess on topics that were contemporary. The Institute being situated in the financial capital of the country, an event like Mock-stock competition is perfectly in order. This event too attracted a large number of participants.
For the musically inclined, the singing competition was an event to look forward to. The rappers did a great job with their off-beat show. The event that really got the adrenalin pumping was the dance competition – the audience was literally on its feet. The fashion show had social messages as a theme- messages that are relevant in the present day.
The Chief guest for the Valedictory function was Ms. Sabina Gupta who is an entrepreneur herself. She runs a business that goes by the name Not Just Desserts. She spoke about her own experiences and encouraged students to start their own ventures.
The winners were given trophies, cash prizes and certificates by the Trustees, Director of SVIMS and the Senior faculty.
The show was anchored by the students very efficiently.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof Ganapati Kattige.
The two-day event ended with the singing of the National anthem.
