SHIV SWARAJYA DIN CELEBRATION REPORT

Participation: A total of 30 students, all faculty and staff.
Introduction:
The institution organized a commemorative event on the occasion of Shiv Swarajya Din on 6th June 2026 to honor the legacy, values, and leadership of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event aimed to instill patriotism, leadership qualities, and cultural awareness among students.
Event Proceedings:
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by students Raksha and Labh, who greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, and fellow students.This was followed by a serene Saraswati Vandana and the National Anthem, led by Labh, which set a respectful and patriotic tone for the program.Students Gautam and Nityashakti then delivered an insightful introduction on the life and achievements of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, highlighting his principles of gov-ernance, courage, and leadership.
A traditional Powada performance was presented by student Dhananjay, vividly portraying the valor and heroic deeds of Shivaji Maharaj in an engaging manner. A documentary showcasing the life and principles of Shivaji Maharaj was screened, enhancing the audience’s understanding of his vision and legacy. An interactive quiz competition was conducted by students Saniya and Sidra, where both students and faculty participated enthusiastically. Small gifts were distributed to encourage active involvement. A heartfelt poem was recited by Smita Ma’am (Accountant), adding an emotional and reflective dimension to the event.
The Director addressed the gathering with a motivational speech, emphasizing the relevance of Shivaji Maharaj’s ideals in the present day. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Raksha, followed by an energetic Shiv Garjana led by Nitya and Shubhankar.
Following the formal proceedings, a poster-making competition was organized under the super-vision of Labh and Saniya. Students actively participated by creating posters based on the theme of Shivaji Maharaj’s life and principles. The faculty later evaluated the entries and selected the best posters.
Conclusion:
The Shiv Swarajya Din celebration was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. The event effectively conveyed the values and principles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and inspired students to imbibe leadership, discipline, and patriot-ism in their lives.

Objective:
The objective of celebrating Shiv Swarajya Din was to instill a sense of pride, leadership, and patriotism among students by remembering the visionary leadership and values of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event aimed to educate students about the significance of self-rule, cultural identity, and nation-building through historical perspective.
Event Summary:
On 6th June 2025, SVIMS College proudly celebrated Shiv Swarajya Din with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The event saw the active participation of 15 MMS/PGDM students, along with all faculty members and staff. The program was honoured by the gracious presence of Dr. Purshottam Patil (Director) and Prof. Ganapati K. (Program Head). The celebration began with an energetic and spirited performance of Shiv Garjana by the students, echoing the valour and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This was followed by a powerful and emotional Marathi poetry performance by Smita Karanje Maam, which captivated the audience and paid tribute to the great Maratha warrior. A brief but meaningful speech was delivered by Prof. Murli Iyer explaining the historical importance of Shiv Swarajya Din, reminding everyone of Shivaji Maharaj’s vision of a just and self-reliant state based on the values of courage, justice, and good governance. The entire faculty and staff stood together in unity, making the occasion a vibrant and respectful tribute. The event concluded with a message encouraging students to embody the leadership, integrity, and service values represented by Shivaji Maharaj.
