Objectives of the Event

The main objectives of the convocation and degree distribution ceremony were:

1. To formally award degrees to students from various programs.
2. To recognize and appreciate exceptional contributions and performances of students in academics, placements, and overall development of the institution.
3. To instill a sense of pride and responsibility among students as they transition from campus life to professional endeavors.

Event Overview:

The Convocation and Degree Distribution Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was successfully conducted on 14th April 2025 at the esteemed Suryavanshi Hall, Dadar. This grand occasion was jointly organized by Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Management and Studies and SVIMS B-School, Wadala (West).

We were honored to have Mr. Nitin Tike, General Manager at NISM, Mumbai, Maharashtra, as the Chief Guest for the ceremony. His presence and insightful address added immense value to the event, inspiring graduates to embrace global transitions in the dynamic world of business.

The celebration saw the enthusiastic participation of 140 students from diverse postgraduate management programs, including PGDM (Internship General and Banking & Finance) and MMS. Faculty members, industry guests, and proud families came together to commemorate the academic achievements and promising future of the graduating batch.

Degree Distribution

Degrees and diplomas were formally awarded to all graduating students, marking a major milestone in their educational journey. Faculty and dignitaries congratulated students for their hard work and perseverance, encouraging them to pursue excellence in their future endeavors. 

Special Recognitions and Awards

In addition to the distribution of degrees, students were also honored with prestigious awards under various categories:

1. Light of SVIMS – Presented to students who consistently embodied the values and spirit of the institution like Simran Kinger, Abhishek Jain, Vedant Tanawade.
2. Excellence Awards – Given for outstanding academic performance and top scores.
3. SVIMS Ambassadors – Awarded to students who demonstrated consistent excellence in academics, active participation in placement drives, and dedicated service towards the well-being of the college community.

These recognitions served to motivate current and future students to aim higher and contribute meaningfully to their institutions and society.

Conclusion

The convocation ceremony was not just a formal event but a celebration of commitment, success, and the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of students. It highlighted the institute’s dedication to nurturing future leaders and professionals through quality education, values, and support. The event concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks and collective pride for the journey ahead.
