Name of Activity: “SVIMS Library Lighthouse”
Objective of Activity: To encourage creativity, enhance reference books knowledge, and provide a platform for intellectual discussions.
Brief Description of Activity: The “SVIMS Library Lighthouse” activity is specially started for first year MMS and PGDM students once in a month to encourage creativity, enhance reference books knowledge, and provide a platform for intellectual discussions. In this activity students will receive 5 topics based on their 1st semester, specific to their chosen specialization. For each topic, students must select one reference book from the library to help create their presentation. Students must prepare a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation and present it in front of faculty members from their specialization. Each student will have 5 minutes total—4 minutes for the presentation and 1 minute for Q&A. Presentations must include images of the reference book’s front and back covers, along with the page number(s) referred to. On the day of the presentation, students will enter their assigned room at a scheduled time, faculty will randomly give one topic of the five topics and immediately begin presenting. certificates and Prizes will be awarded to the winner and the runner-up on Sir M. Visvesvaraya Day.
