A Two-Day Faculty Development Programme on “QUALITATIVE RESEARCH PUBLICATION” was held in our campus on 11th and 12th April 2023 which was attended by the faculty members of SVIMS, SVIMS Business School. The workshop aimed to provide faculty members with valuable insights and guidelines on writing research articles for reputed journals and publications. The first day of the FDP was led by Prof. (Dr.) Amiya Kumar Mohapatra, the editor of Orissa Journal of Commerce, who shared tips and guidelines on writing research articles. The second day of the FDP commenced with a session by Dr. Vasumathy Hariharan, our esteemed Dean, who provided insights on qualitative research and writing qualitative research papers for publication.
Day 1 Dated 11th April 2023
Prof. (Dr.) Amiya Kumar Mohapatra’s session was focused on providing detailed guidance on writing research papers for reputed journals and publications. He began with a presentation that outlined the general structure for writing research papers. He emphasized the importance of clear and concise writing, and the need to follow the guidelines and requirements of the target journal or publication. Dr. Mohapatra shared valuable tips on selecting appropriate keywords, framing research questions, and presenting research findings effectively. He also discussed the importance of referencing and plagiarism prevention in research writing. The session was interactive, with participants engaging in discussions and seeking clarifications on various aspects of research paper writing.
Day 2 Dated 12th April 2023
The second day of the FDP began with an insightful session by our dean Dr. Vasumathy Hariharan. She discussed the significance of qualitative research in various disciplines. She emphasized the need for in-depth data analysis, interpretation, and understanding of the contextual factors in qualitative research. Dr. Hariharan shared practical tips on conducting qualitative research and writing qualitative research papers for publication. She highlighted the importance of ensuring rigor, validity, and reliability in qualitative research, and shared examples of effective qualitative research papers published in reputed journals. The session included interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, allowing participants to seek further guidance on qualitative research publication.
The two-day FDP on qualitative research publication provided faculty members with valuable insights and guidelines on writing research articles for reputed journals and publications. We express our gratitude to Dr. Amiya Kumar Mohapatra and Dr. Vasumathy Hariharan for their valuable contributions to the FDP. We also thank all the participants for their active participation and engagement throughout the workshop. The FDP was highly informative and interactive, enabling participants to enhance their knowledge and skills in qualitative research publication.
