International Yoga Day Report 2025

Objective: The main objective of International Yoga Day is to raise global awareness about the numerous benefits of practicing yoga and to promote its holistic approach to health and well-being.
Event summary:
Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SVIMS) and SVIMS Business School celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 at Seminar Hall from 9.45 am to 10.30 am. Prof. Ganapati Kattige conducted yoga session for present teaching and non-teaching staff members. Tadasan, Vrikshasan, Vajrasan, Bhramari, Anulom Vilom and Surya Namaskar were performed by teaching and non-teaching staff members. Prof. Ganapati Kattige first explained each Asan properly to all present staff. Then all present teaching and non-teaching staff members performed Asanas along with Prof. Ganapati Kattige.
Then International yoga day ended with om chanting by all present teaching and non-teaching staff members. All participants thanked Prof. Ganapati Kattige sir for conducting yoga on the eve of International Yoga Day.
